Promotion & Examination Policy

Promotion to the next academic level is a privilege earned through consistent effort, regular attendance, and the demonstrated ability to meet the requirements of the following grade.

1. Evaluation & Criteria for Promotion

Continuous Assessment: Academic performance is evaluated based on periodic tests, terminal examinations, and assignments allotted throughout the year.

Passing Marks: The minimum qualifying mark for all subjects is 35%.

Attendance Requirement: A minimum of 85% attendance of the total working days in an academic year is mandatory to be considered for promotion.

Subject Requirements: Students are expected to pass in all subjects, including General Knowledge (G.K.) and Art/Craft.

2. Examination Rules

Absence: Students absent from an examination will be marked as “Failed” unless the absence is due to a medical emergency sanctioned by the Principal with valid documentation.

No Re-tests: No special arrangements or re-tests will be provided for students who miss an examination for any reason.

Academic Integrity: The use of unfair means or a breach of conduct during examinations will result in the immediate cancellation of that paper (zero marks). Repeated misconduct will lead to expulsion and a ban from the remaining examinations.

Finality of Results: The decision of the school authorities regarding promotions is final. Examination results and marks cannot be changed once declared.

Record Retention: The school does not retain answer scripts beyond 60 days from the date of the examination.

3. Policies for Unsuccessful Candidates

There is no provision for “Re-examination” or “Promotion on Trial” for students who do not meet the passing criteria.

If a student fails to qualify for promotion, they must repeat the grade or follow the withdrawal guidelines.

4. Financial Compliance & Progress Reports

Fee Default: Students whose Tuition Fees or Annual Charges have not been paid on time may be barred from sitting for examinations and risk having their names struck off the school roll.

Report Cards: Parents must collect progress reports on the stipulated day. Failure to do so may result in a fine, and the student may be restricted from attending classes until the report is collected by the parent.
